DAP Information Management

Question: Describe at least two personal connections you made with the DAP information you discovered on the NAEYC site.Summarize three main things you learned from exploring the site. How will they impact your career in early childhood education? Answer: Meaning of DAP:- By the word Developmentally appropriate practice or DAP means to teach the young children in such a manner that the teacher or the instructor can meet them where they are as a group or as an individual. That means this type of practice is to support each child in achieving the challenging goals that are needed for his/her ongoing learning and development process. Hence, this is the essential resources for the field of early childhood and its main focus on the Toddlers and infants, Kindergarten year, preschool years, and early primary grades (Naeyc.org, 2015). Personal Connections under DAP:- In this Developmentally appropriate practice; there are two basic personal connections. One is the connection between the teacher and the student, and other is the connection among the students. In this case, the teacher act as the friend, philosopher and guide of the students and there is a friendly relationship between the teacher and the student. In this practice, a child makes friendship with another child of the same age and every child learn to cooperate each other (Naeyc.org, 2015). Summarization of DAP:- The main three points of this Developmentally appropriate practice is:- For the learning and development progress, it is important to establish a relationship between teacher and the student, which is considered as a significant part of this practice. For the healthy growth and development of the Kindergarten children, the play is considered as an essential part of this practice. Under this practice, the teacher creates small groups of children of different strengths that they can learn from one another. These three things had a great impact in my early childhood education, as with this practice, learning process became easy and enjoyable for me and as a result I was very much interested to learn new things at this age. This helped me to build the social relationship with others and to take the decision about my future career as per my interest. References Naeyc.org,.
